Demo CD for Palm OS/Pocket PC/Win CE

We thank you for your interest in this Olive Tree product and we hope
it will prove to be of great use to you.

To use BibleReader you must load both the appropriate BibleReader for your handheld
and the approriate Bible text files for your handheld platform.

The CD contains both the Bible text files and the BibleReader
application to read the text on either the Palm OS or a Pocket PC/Win CE device.
Please find the appropriate installation instructions for your platform listed below:
  


Installation for Pocket PC/Win CE 2.11 or above

1.  Cradle your handheld; open your handheld's Sync/File Transfer software on your desktop PC. 

2.  Use the Sync software to create one folder on your handheld: a folder named Bible in your My Documents directory. 

3.  Download the appropriate BibleReader, (visit our website at: http://www.olivetree.com/handheld/WinCE/WinCEBible.html if you are not certain 
which version of BibleReader you should use), to your desktop PC and unzip it;  
we recommend using WinZip 7.0 or above for best results.  If you don't have a copy,
 you may go to www.winzip.com to download. 

4.  Drag the unzipped BibleReader .exe file (it will be called something like "bible_2.11palm_mips.exe", depending upon which format you downloaded) to the Start Menu  folder in your Windows directory.  (/Windows/StartMenu)  Doing this will cause the BibleReader to appear when you press the Start button at the top. 

5.  Unzip the Bible file(s)you want to install, (.pdb), and drag to the Bible folder in your handheld's My  Documents directory.  

Note:  If you later choose to store your Bible files in another location, you must go to the BibleReader's Preferences screen and type the path to the new location into the Database Path field.

Installation for Win CE 2.0

1.  Dock your handheld into its cradle. 

2.  Download the BibleReader, (visit our website at: http://www.olivetree.com/handheld/WinCE/WinCEBible.html if you are not certain 
which version of BibleReader you should use), and the Bible text files, (.pdb), you want to install.  

3.  Unzip the BibleReader.  We recommend using WinZip 7.0  or newer. If you don't have WinZip, you may download a copy now at www.winzip.com.

4.  Double-click the BibleReader's Setup.exe file while still in WinZip -  it must be executed on your desktop PC.  The Setup.exe file automatically installs the BibleReader onto your handheld. 

5.  Open your handheld's Sync software - the software you use to install files onto your handheld from your desktop PC.  

6.  Use the Sync program to create a folder named Bible in your handheld's My Documents directory.  

7.  Unzip the Bible file(s) and drag them into the Bible folder in your handheld's My Documents directory.   

8.  Open the BibleReader with the shortcut that should now appear on your handheld's Start Menu.
